There are days when the elements are against you when you’re a photographer. I guess you could equate it to a rough day at the office, right? It doesn’t happen that much with us (thankfully), but if you’re a photographer you know what I’m talking about. The light might not be ideal, the setting might not be what you had envisioned, your couple is sitting there as you look around for inspiration, and you just have to work and think outside the box even that much more to make things happen.
Yeah – – – this was not one of those days. Haha!
Our time with Jen and Adam out in the hills near Coto De Caza was straight up out of this world. The fact that these two couldn’t take a bad picture together even if they tried, compounded by phenomenal light and a gorgeous setting; you’d think Erin and I died and went to photography heaven. Haha.
We had such a great time just walking, talking, and laughing with these two. Jen is so bubbly and full of joy and laughter; we were cracking up constantly during our time together. Between Adam being a good sport pulling out the “inner Abercrombie model” and Jen making him smile from ear to ear every time she looked at him; we just sat back and captured these two enjoying one another’s company. We seriously cannot wait for their wedding in Laguna Beach at Tivoli Two!
Also, a huge thanks goes out to our couple Abigail and Ryan for referring these two our way! It humbles us beyond words to receive such glowing referrals from our amazing brides; and we haven’t even shot their wedding yet! Thank you Abigail and Ryan, you guys are the best!
Here are a few of our favorites from our afternoon with Jen and Adam.
**PHOTOGRAPHERS NOTE – About half of these images were taken with the Nikkor 200mm f2.0 lens. Shot wide open at f2.0 the entire time. LOVING this new lens! It’s razor sharp and the backgrounds just melt away like butter! **
Holy crap…loving everything about these. The couple, the light, THE LENS CHOICE! Great work :)
I loved every picture. They are very photogenic and beautiful together (not because I am the Mom ah ah)!!!! Great job Gavin and Erin.
Thank you so much Candy! We really can’t wait for their wedding!
Love is definitely in the air! These are beautiful pictures of a georgeous couple!
Oh my gosh! I’m speechless over these pictures! Your use of light and the “Abercrombie” model I brought with me are absolutely stunning ;-) THANK YOU for all your hard work last Thursday! We seriously can’t wait for our wedding now! I LOVE Gavin Wade Photography!!!
Not a difficult subject manner for the phographers to capture. BEAUTIFUL, I couldn’t vote as they were all winners.
