Mike Colón’s Seven Workshop | Las Vegas Style!

From the first day Erin and I knew that we were going into photography, we only knew two things. One, that we knew NOTHING about photography (haha). The second thing was that if we were going to learn, we wanted to learn from the best right out of the gate.

Just months into our exploration of photography, it’s was an almost automatic decision that we attend Mike Colon’s workshop (then a 4 day intensive class in Maui) and soak up everything we possibly could from one of the most influential and talented wedding photographers in the country. To make a 3 year story short, Mike is now not only an amazing and inspiring mentor of ours, but also a trusted friend. His heart for the photography industry continues to grow and his love for teaching is something that thousands upon thousands of photographers around the world have benefitted from.

Recently, Mike hosted an intimate one day workshop in Las Vegas with 7 photographers. He does these 7 Workshops all over the country and condenses his 4 day intensive into one, information-filled day of learning and shooting. Erin and I were so blessed to help out and be a part of his most recent workshop in Vegas and even after years of learning from Mike, we always come away having drawn so much wisdom and practical applications for our business and our photography!

Mid way through the day, we all took a little break from the classroom and hit the streets of Las Vegas with our two awesome models Kate and John. Their smiles and love were infectious; we couldn’t help but  share a few of our favorite moments with these two. A huge shout out to Katherine Harris and Lindsay Shea for the stylings and hair/makeup for the shoot!
