A Wedding at the Chart House in Dana Point: Brittanie and Tomas

Happy Monday all! Erin and I hope you had a great halloween weekend filled with large quantities of sugar, a few scary movies, and a safe time celebrating!

Today’s wedding post isn’t scary, though…in fact…it’s straight 100% pure awesome thanks to two amazing people and the love they share with one another; Brittanie and Tomas.

If we were all honest, I think it’s safe to say everyone involved was a little worried come their wedding day. It had been raining for the past few days, and if you tailor your whole wedding around a view of the ocean and an outside ceremony, you know this is cause for concern. Especially in Dana Point where the fog can linger all day, we needed to order up some dry weather…STAT! Even within minutes of the ceremony, there was still debate as to what the weather would do…but Brittanie wasn’t going to let a few drops even pause her for a second. The ceremony was outside, it’s happening! And man oh man did it happen! The rain let up, she walked down that aisle, and Tomas’ smile could not have been bigger. There could have been a monsoon around these two and it wasn’t going to stop them from pledging their love to one another; this was happening.

If you’ve scrolled down and peeked a bit at their photos already, you already know that the day was absolutely PERFECT. And with 40 or so of their closest friends and family, Brittanie and Tomas were married at the Chart House in Dana Point, overlooking the marina and beautiful southern california coastline. After their reception had ended, the party kept on going as we took these two to one of our favorite spots in Dana Point and had some fun! At the end of our time together Brittanie entered the Gavin Wade Photographers record books as the first bride of ours to lay down in the sand and water in her wedding dress ON her wedding day! Her response after we showed her a few images…”Totally worth it.” That’s what we like to hear!

Brittanie and Tomas, your joy and laughter is something we will always remember from your wedding. The love and happiness around you both lit up that entire room and it was an honor to be one of the select few to join in such an amazing celebration! Here are some of our favorite moments…enjoy!
